MergeLine Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-20
This Privacy Policy describes how data is handled when you use MergeLine (the “App”), a mobile game published by Tolga Sayan (“we”, “us”). By using the App you agree to the practices described below.
Who the controller is
MergeLine is an independently developed mobile game. For any privacy question or request, contact: tolgasyn2@gmail.com.
What we collect
The App does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, email, address, phone number, or contacts.
Data we process ourselves
We store the following on your device only (not on our servers):
- Your best score, highest tile, games played, lifetime score total, and a flag that records whether you have completed the tutorial.
We use Apple’s standard on-device storage (UserDefaults / the Godot engine’s
user:// directory). This data never leaves your device unless you back it up
through iCloud, which is controlled by your iOS settings.
Data processed by advertising partners
The App displays banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements delivered by Google AdMob (Google LLC). When ads are shown, Google may receive:
- A resettable advertising identifier (IDFA), if you grant App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission.
- Device model, iOS version, language, approximate location (derived from IP address), the ad unit being requested, and crash / performance diagnostics.
- SKAdNetwork install-attribution postbacks that Apple sends to ad networks on our behalf. These postbacks are aggregated and do not identify you.
Google acts as an independent controller for data it receives through AdMob. Its handling is described at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Consent (GDPR / CCPA / UK GDPR)
Inside regions that require it (European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, etc.), the App shows a consent form powered by Google’s User Messaging Platform the first time you open it, and whenever you reset consent. You can choose between personalized and non-personalized ads, and you can reopen the consent form at any time by reinstalling the App or clearing its storage.
App Tracking Transparency
On iOS 14.5 and later, the system will ask you for permission to track your activity across other apps and websites. If you decline, the App still works and still shows ads, but only non-personalized ads are requested. Your choice is recorded by iOS and can be changed at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not profile children. The App is rated 4+ and AdMob requests are flagged with the “treat as G-rated” content filter.
- We do not use analytics SDKs beyond what is needed to serve ads and deliver crash diagnostics for the SDK itself.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
On-device storage is protected by standard iOS sandboxing and file protection. We do not operate servers that hold personal data from this App, so there is no server-side dataset to breach.
Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. Because we do not collect personal data on our own servers, most requests are best handled by:
- Clearing the App or resetting consent through iOS settings to remove locally stored preferences.
- Submitting data-subject requests for AdMob data directly to Google via the controls described at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
For anything else, email tolgasyn2@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy in a material way, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where required, request renewed consent the next time you open the App.
